Police in North-Western Province have made significant progress in the investigation of the brutal mob killing of 46-year-old Eneless Hellen Kamutumbe at Kisasa Market in Kalumbila District, with a total of 259 suspects now arrested in connection with the incident. The shocking act of violence, which unfolded in a public marketplace, has drawn widespread concern and condemnation from both authorities and members of the community, highlighting the dangers of mob justice and the urgent need for adherence to the rule of law. According to police reports, the suspects were apprehended following intensive investigations and coordinated operations aimed at identifying individuals who took part in or facilitated the attack.

Law enforcement officials have emphasized that all those found culpable will face the full force of the law, reiterating that taking justice into one’s own hands is a serious criminal offense.
