ECZ Election Results 2026 (Updates)
Zambia’s Electoral Process and the Call for Peace 🇿🇲
Zambia is a democratic country where citizens have the constitutional right to elect leaders of their choice. Elections are an important part of democracy because they give people an opportunity to determine who should represent and govern them.
The success of an election depends on several important factors, including voter registration, voter education, proper verification of voters, and the availability of accurate and trustworthy information. The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) is responsible for administering the country’s elections, and citizens are encouraged to follow information coming from official and credible sources.
As vote counting continues, many Zambians are closely following developments and waiting for the official results. Citizens have already taken part in the voting process by casting their ballots for both the presidential and National Assembly elections.
The two elections serve different purposes. The presidential election allows voters to choose the person they want to lead the country, while the National Assembly election allows citizens to elect Members of Parliament who will represent their constituencies.
Unfortunately, reports of violence during the electoral period are a serious concern. Security authorities are working to maintain law and order and protect people and property.
Political differences should never destroy the peace of our country. Leaders, supporters and ordinary citizens all have a responsibility to respect one another and allow the electoral process to take its course.
Zambia belongs to all of us. Whatever the election outcome, peace must come first. Let us reject violence, respect the democratic process and work together for the continued development of our nation. 🇿🇲🕊️
